Oatmeal cake
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- oatmeal - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- canned milk - 1/2 c
- box flaked coconut - 1 item
- Combine remaining ingredients; mix well
How to make oatmeal cake:
Pour hot water over oatmeal and set aside to cool. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Add cooled oatmeal. Pour into greased and floured large loaf pan. Bake at 325° for 50 to 60 minutes or until cake pulls away from sides of pan.Icing:9 Tbsp. butter1 box flaked coconut1/2 c. canned milk1 c. brown sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. chopped pecans Mix and pour over hot cake.
