Oatmeal cake

Ingredients/Components

• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour
• soda - 1 tsp
• white sugar - 1 c
• sticks butter or margarine - 2 item
• flaked coconut or 2 c - 1 c
• milk or 1 c - 1/2 c
• cooked oatmeal - 1 c
• brown sugar or 3 c - 2 c
• broken walnuts or 2 c - 1 c

How to make oatmeal cake:

Add 1 cup oats to 1 1/4 cups boiling water, stir, cover, remove from heat and let set.

Mix 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup white sugar and 1 stick butter. To this mixture add eggs, flour and seasonings and oatmeal! Bake at 350° for 25 to 40 minutes, depending on your oven. While cake is baking cook topping on medium low (1 stick butter, 1 cup brown sugar or more, 1 cup coconut or more, 1/2 cup milk or more and 1 cup walnuts or more). Spread warm topping on finished cake and put under broiler for approximately 2 minutes.
