Grandma's banana nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- cup butter - 1 item
- cups sugar - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- cups mashed bananas - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- 1/2 cups sifted flour - 3 item
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- cup sour cream - 1 item
- cup chopped nuts optional - 1 item
How to make grandma's banana nut bread:
Cream butter and sugar; add vanilla & lemon juice. Add bananas. Sift salt, flour, soda, and baking powder; add alternately with sour cream to banana mixture. Fold in nuts. Pour into 2 greased & floured loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Time to make.
