Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • sage - 1/3 tsp
  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • medium onion, minced - 1 item
  • green pepper, minced - 1/2 item
  • small can tomato sauce - 1 item
  • enough crushed cornflakes to stiffen, 2-3 cups

How to make mom's meat loaf:

In a large bowl put all except meat and cornflakes. Mix well. Add meat and mix. Add cornflakes and mix until loaf hold its shape. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Reduce to 350° for 45 minutes. Put lid on when top is brown.
