- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- paprika - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chicken, cut into serving pieces - 2 to
- each shortening and butter - 1/2 c
How to make oven-fried chicken:
Heat oven to 425°. Mix flour, salt, pepper and paprika in a paper bag. Put shortening and butter in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish and melt in oven. Shake 3 or 4 pieces of chicken in the flour at a time. Place the floured chicken in hot oil. Bake 30 minutes; turn and bake 30 minutes more.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Poultry.
