Mom's cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 4 item
- milk
- self-rising flour - 3 c
- cornmeal - 2 c
How to make mom's cornbread:
Mix sugar and eggs until smooth. Mix in cornmeal. Add flour and milk gradually. Beat until smooth.Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350° until done. Test with a toothpick in 30 minutes. Continue baking until golden brown on top or until toothpick comes out clean.
Corn Cakes: Use a little more milk for these.
