Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt optional - 1 tsp
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 item
  • mayonnaise - 1/2 c
  • tomatoes, chopped - 2 c
  • taco seasoning mix - 1 pkg
  • bunch green onions, chopped - 1 item
  • lemon juice optional - 2 Tbsp
  • pepper optional - 1/2 tsp
  • cans bean dip - 2 item
  • ripe avocados optional - 2 item
  • large black olives, chopped - 1 item

How to make mexican layered dip:

Spread bean dip on shallow serving tray (make sure the sides are at least 1-inch high). Mash avocados and add lemon juice, salt and pepper. Spread on top of bean dip. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasoning mix. Spread on top of avocado layer (or bean dip layer if avocado layer is omitted). Layer in order: chopped green onions, chopped black olives and tomatoes. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top. Chill at least 3 hours before serving. Enjoy with Tostitos or Doritos.

Hint: Do not make in advance and store overnight if you have not omitted the avocado layer.
