  • sour cream
  • lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
  • shredded lettuce - 3 c
  • tortilla chips - 1 item
  • Cheddar cheese
  • chopped onions to taste - 1 item
  • envelope taco seasoning mix - 1 item
  • jar taco sauce, divided - 1 oz
  • can green chili peppers, chopped and drained - 1 item
  • each refried beans - 2 (16
  • black olives to taste - 1 item
  • ripe avocados, peeled and pitted optional - 2 item

How to make mexican layered bean dip:

In medium bowl mix together refried beans, chilies and taco seasoning mix. Spread in a 9 x 13-inch dish. Blend avocados, lemon juice and 1/2 cup taco sauce until smooth. Spread on top of bean mixture. Spread sour cream on top of avocado mixture. Top with lettuce, onions, taco sauce, cheese and black olives. Serve with tortilla chips.
