  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • eggs, beaten - 3 item
  • cooking oil - 2/3 c
  • grated sharp cheese - 1 c
  • sweet pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
  • self-rising meal
  • Mexican corn - 1 can
  • large hot pepper, chopped or red ground pepper - 1 item

How to make mexican cornbread:

Mix all together except for cheese. Pour half batter in well-greased and floured pan. Sprinkle cheese on top. Add remaining batter. Cook at 375° until golden brown, about 1 hour.
