- buttermilk - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- cooking oil - 2/3 c
- grated sharp cheese - 1 c
- sweet pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
- self-rising meal
- Mexican corn - 1 can
- large hot pepper, chopped or red ground pepper - 1 item
How to make mexican cornbread:
Mix all together except for cheese. Pour half batter in well-greased and floured pan. Sprinkle cheese on top. Add remaining batter. Cook at 375° until golden brown, about 1 hour.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
