Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- oil - 1/2 c
- grated cheese - 1 c
- onion - 1/2 c
- green pepper - 2 Tbsp
- can creamed corn - 1 item
- corn meal
- small jar pimento if desired - 1 item
How to make mexican cornbread:
Mix together grated cheese, green pepper, onion and pimento and set aside. Add sour cream, corn meal, milk, creamed corn, oil and eggs. Pour meal mixture in half. Pour in cheese mixture, then other half of meal mixture. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
