Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- cider vinegar - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- olive oil
- bunch green onions, chopped - 1 item
- clove garlic, chopped - 1 item
- sweet basil - 1 tsp
- small can black olives, drained - 1 item
- head cauliflower, cut into bite size pieces - 1 item
- bunch broccoli, cut into bite size pieces - 1 item
- medium tomatoes, cut into eighths - 3 item
- fresh mushrooms, sliced or small bite size - 1/2 lb
- soy sauce may use low sodium sauce - 1/4 c
How to make marinated vegetable salad:
Marinade:1 c. olive oil1 clove garlic, chopped1/2 c. cider vinegar1/4 c. soy sauce (may use low sodium sauce)1/2 tsp. sugar1 tsp. oregano1 tsp. sweet basil salt and pepper to taste Combine the salad ingredients.Marinade: Combine the ingredients. Marinate the salad ingredients in the marinade overnight.
This is a heart-smart recipe if you use the low sodium soy sauce.
