Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- vinegar - 2 c
- chopped celery - 1 item
- mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
- turmeric - 1 tsp
- cauliflower florets - 1 item
- sliced cucumbers - 1 item
- sliced onions - 1 item
- sweet pepper pieces - 1 item
How to make bread and butter pickles:
Soak vegetables overnight in salt water (1/2 cup to 2 quarts water); drain. Heat to boiling the remaining ingredients. Add vegetables; return to boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Pack in sterile jars.
