Ambrosia conserve
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 5 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- seedless raisins - 1 c
- orange, peeled and sectioned - 1 item
- cans crushed pineapple, drained - 2 oz
- bottle fruit pectin - 1 oz
- cooking apples, pared, cored and chopped - 3 item
How to make ambrosia conserve:
Power: High.Microwave Time: 19 to 21 minutes.
Combine orange sections, pineapple, apples, pectin and lemon juice in a 3-quart casserole. Stir well. Cover with waxed paper. Microwave at High 10 to 12 minutes or until boiling. Stir once or twice during cooking. After mixture comes to a full boil, stir in sugar. Microwave at High 8 minutes or until mixture reaches a full boil. Time for 1 minute of boiling. Remove from oven and stir in coconut and raisins. Ladle into hot, sterilized jars and seal. Yields 6 to 8 (6-ounce) jars.
