Marinated carrots
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- Crisco oil - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- prepared mustard - 1 tsp
- can condensed tomato soup - 1 item
- medium green pepper, cut into thin strips - 1 item
- medium onions, thinly sliced into rings - 2 item
- fresh carrots, cleaned and sliced - 2 lb
How to make marinated carrots:
Cook carrots in boiling water with salt, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain, combine with onions and peppers in large bowl. Stir together remaining ingredients. Refrigerate several hours. To serve: Drain marinade and save. Serve carrots in lettuce lined bowl. If desired, return leftovers to marinade. Marinade can be reused.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Vegetables, Carrots.
