Ingredients/Components

  • chicken parts - 2 lb
  • shortening - 2 Tbsp
  • can cream of chicken or celery soup - 1 item
  • dash pepper - 1 item
  • lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • tarragon leaves, crushed - 1/8 tsp
  • fresh lemon slices for garnish - 1 item

How to make luscious lemon chicken:

In a skillet, brown chicken in shortening. Pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients, except lemon slices. Cook, covered, over low heat for 45 minutes or until tender. Stir now and then. Garnish with lemon slices.

This can be made ahead and served the next day and is even better. Refrigerate if you do. Great for company.
