  • egg yolks - 3 item
  • can sweetened condensed milk - 1 item
  • cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
  • lemon juice - 1/2 c
  • grated lemon peel - 1 tsp
  • Meringue:3 egg whites
  • graham cracker pie shell 9-inch - 1 item

How to make lemon meringue pie:

Meringue:3 egg whites1/4 tsp. cream of tartar1/4 c. sugar1/4 tsp. grated lemon peel Blend the milk, lemon juice, lemon peel, sugar and egg yolks until thickened. Pour into pie shell. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar on high speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar until stiff peaks form. Gradually add lemon peel while beating on slow speed. Cover filling with meringue. Bake at 425° for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
