Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 Tbsp
- eggs, separated - 2 item
- can sweetened condensed milk - 15 oz
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
- lemon juice - 1/2 c
- 8-inch baked pie shell - 1 item
- grated lemon rind or 1/4 tsp - 1 tsp
How to make lemon meringue pie:
Combine lemon juice and rind or extract. Gradually stir into condensed milk. Add egg yolks and stir until well blended. Pour into chilled pastry shell. Add cream of tartar to egg whites and beat until almost stiff enough to hold a peak. Add suRecipe categories: Pie, Pies and tarts, Cakes.
