Lemon fluff
Ingredients/Components
- unflavored gelatin - 1 pkg
- can thawed lemonade - 1 oz
- large can evaporated milk, chilled - 1 item
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- water - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- pulled pieces angel food cake - 4 c
How to make lemon fluff:
Mix gelatin, sugar and salt in top of double boiler. Add eggs and beat. Stir in undiluted lemonade and water. Cook this custard until it coats a spoon (about 5 minutes). Cool.Whip chilled milk until foamy. Add lemon juice and whip until stiff. Fold custard lightly, but thoroughly, into whipped milk. Fold in cake pieces. Turn into 1 1/2-quart loaf or Pyrex pan. Chill until firm. Serves 8 to 10.
