Ingredients/Components
- 5 oz - 1 Can
- Salt - 1 Tsp
- Pepper - 1/2 Tsp
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Large Onion, chopped - 1 item
- Cup Water - 1/3 item
- Cup Vegetable Oil - 1/4 item
- Dried Thyme - 1 Tsp
- Garlic Cloves, minced - 2 item
- Cayenne Pepper - 1/4 Tsp
- Celery Ribs, chopped - 2 item
- Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast
- Eckrich Sausage, halved and sliced - 1 lb
- Medium Green Pepper, chopped - 1 item
- Green Onions, thinly sliced - 5 item
- Cans Chicken Broth - 2 item
- Cup Long Grain Rice, uncooked - 1 item
How to make jambalaya:
In a Dutch oven, saut?© sausage and chicken in oil until lightly browned. Remove and keep warm. In the drippings, saut?© celery, onion, green pepper, green onions and garlic until tender. Add tomatoes, thyme, salt, pepper and cayenne and cook 5 minutes longer. Stir in broth, rice, water and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir in sausage and chicken; heat through.Recipe categories: Poultry, Meat, Cajun.
