Ingredients/Components

  • 5 oz - 1 Can
  • Salt - 1 Tsp
  • Pepper - 1/2 Tsp
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Large Onion, chopped - 1 item
  • Cup Water - 1/3 item
  • Cup Vegetable Oil - 1/4 item
  • Dried Thyme - 1 Tsp
  • Garlic Cloves, minced - 2 item
  • Cayenne Pepper - 1/4 Tsp
  • Celery Ribs, chopped - 2 item
  • Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast
  • Eckrich Sausage, halved and sliced - 1 lb
  • Medium Green Pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • Green Onions, thinly sliced - 5 item
  • Cans Chicken Broth - 2 item
  • Cup Long Grain Rice, uncooked - 1 item

How to make jambalaya:

In a Dutch oven, saut?© sausage and chicken in oil until lightly browned. Remove and keep warm. In the drippings, saut?© celery, onion, green pepper, green onions and garlic until tender. Add tomatoes, thyme, salt, pepper and cayenne and cook 5 minutes longer. Stir in broth, rice, water and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir in sausage and chicken; heat through.
