Cashew chicken
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 tsp
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- cornstarch - 6 Tbsp
- water
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- cashews - 1/2 1
- chicken bouillon cubes - 6 item
- dash of ginger - 1 item
- chicken breasts, deboned and cut into small pieces - 3 lb
- Batter:3 eggs
How to make cashew chicken:
Batter:3 eggs3/4 c. milk Sauce:4 c. water6 chicken bouillon cubes6 Tbsp. cornstarch dash of ginger4 tsp. sugar Flour Mixture:2 c. flour1 tsp. salt dash of pepper Let chicken first set in flour mix, 15 minutes, coating each piece. Then set in batter 15 minutes and then back in flour for 15 minutes. Add a little more flour, coating each piece. Fry in hot oil or shortening until brown.Sauce: Boil water and dissolve bouillon cubes. Use 1/4 cup water to mix cornstarch, then add to bowl. Mix and let thicken. Pour over chicken and add 1/2 to 1 cup cashews.
