Italian macaroni
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 item
- margarine - 1/8 Tbsp
- cloves garlic - 2 item
- bay leaves - 4 item
- small can tomato paste - 1/2 item
- shredded cheese - 2 c
- canned tomatoes - 1 qt
- roast beef - 3 4
- rigatoni macaroni - 1 lb
- medium onions, chopped or sliced - 6 item
How to make italian macaroni:
Place beef roast in a large, heavy kettle with butter or margarine; brown all sides. Remove meat. Add onions and thinly sliced garlic; cook slowly for 15 minutes. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste and bay leaves. Return meat to kettle; cook very slowly, until sauce has a thick texture. Salt to taste.Remove the bay leaves. Place cooked, drained macaroni in the meat and sauce. Add cheese. Cook until macaroni is well coated. Place meat on a platter, pour macaroni and sauce in a large serving dish and dinner's ready!
