Italian easter bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 6 item
- flour
- oil - 1/2 c
- warm water - 1/2 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
- anise seed - 2 Tbsp
- sherry or white wine - 1/2 c
How to make italian easter bread:
In a large pot, mix dry ingredients together. Form a well in center and add eggs and oil. Mix yeast and warm water; let sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Add yeast to well. Knead until dough is firm. Place on cookie sheet covered with a clean, dry towel to rise (approximately 8 hours). Bless dough and bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
