Impossible quiche
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- Bisquick baking mix - 1 c
- slices bacon, fried and crumbled - 12 item
- shredded natural Swiss cheese - 1 c
How to make impossible quiche:
Heat oven to 400°. Lightly grease 10-inch pie plate. Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in pie plate. Beat remaining ingredients until smooth, 15 seconds in blender on high speed or 1 minute with hand beater. Pour evenly into pie plate. Bake until top is golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Garnish with tomato slices and bacon strips if desired. Refrigerate any remaining pie. Makes 6 servings.Note: If using 9-inch pie plate, decrease milk to 1 1/2 cups, decrease baking mix to 3/4 cup and decrease eggs to 3.
High Altitude (3500 to 6500): Bake 10-inch pie about 40 minutes; bake 9-inch pie about 35 minutes.
