Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- warm water - 1 c
- fat - 1/2 c
- dry yeast - 1 cake
- lukewarm water - 1/4 c
How to make icebox rolls:
Dissolve yeast cake or package of dry yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Add 1 teaspoon sugar. Into a large mixing bowl put 1/3 cup sugar, salt, fat, egg and 1 cup warm water. Beat thoroughly. Add gradually, about 4 cups flour. Knead. Put into a warm place to rise until double in bulk. Press down and place in icebox until needed.Recipe categories: Breads, Vegetarian, Yeast breads.
