Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/2 c
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla
- pkg
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- can crushed pineapple - 1 oz
- pecans - 2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- oil or butter
- chopped bananas - 2 c
- bananas and more sugar optional - 1 item
How to make hummingbird cake:
Frosting:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1/2 c. butter, softened1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla bananas and more sugar (optional) Cake: Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Add eggs and butter; stir until moist. Add vanilla, pineapple, 1 cup nuts and bananas. Spoon batter into three 9-inch pans. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350°.Frosting: Frost each layer; sprinkle with nuts.
