Hot sausage casserole
Ingredients/Components
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- small jar pimentos - 1 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can mushrooms, drained - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- uncooked rice - 1 c
- beef broth - 2 c
- 57 sauce - 1 tsp
- hot breakfast sausage - 1 lb
How to make hot sausage casserole:
Brown sausage, celery and onion until meat is brown and vegetables are tender; drain off most of the fat. Add beef broth, 57 sauce and Worcestershire sauce; stir mixture. Then add pimentos, mushrooms, salt and pepper to mixture and stir in rice. Pour mixture in baking dish, cover and bake for 30 minutes at 350°.Note: Can add cheese to top after baking.
