Ingredients/Components

  • water - 3/4 c
  • Bisquick - 3 c
  • Cheddar cheese - 1/4 lb
  • sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded - 1 lb
  • hot or sweet Italian sausage - 1 lb
  • Drain off fat

How to make hot sausage and cheese puffs:

Cook sausage, breaking it up, for about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain off fat. Spoon sausage into large bowl. Cool. Add cheese, Bisquick mix and water. Mix until blended. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place 2-inches apart on cookie sheets. Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 120 puffs.Note: For 12 Servings, Use:1/4 lb. sausage1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese3/4 c. Bisquick3 to 4 Tbsp. water
