Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- salt optional - 1 tsp
- mayonnaise - 3/4 c
- grated onion - 1 tsp
- cooked rice - 1 c
- stick melted margarine - 1/2 item
- can water chestnuts, sliced - 1 item
- sliced mushrooms, drained - 1 c
- cooked chicken bite size chunks - 3 c
- chopped celery, cooked in microwave until tender - 1 c
- Spread mixture in large casserole dish 13 x 9-inch
How to make hot chicken salad:
Mix first 8 ingredients and then add mayonnaise and soup. Spread mixture in large casserole dish (13 x 9-inch). Add topping. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.Topping:1 c. coarsely chopped cornflakes1/2 c. chopped pecans1/2 stick melted margarine Mix and spoon over top.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, One Dish meal.
