Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 6 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- catsup - 1/4 c
- 3 c - 28 oz
- can tomato sauce - 8 oz
- ground beef
- sliced carrots - 2 c
- coarsely chopped celery
- barley - 1/3 c
- bay leaves - 2 item
- coarsely chopped onions
- instant bouillon - 3 flavored
- coarsely chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
How to make hamburger barley vegetable soup:
In 5-quart Dutch oven, brown ground beef; drain. Stir in ingredients remaining. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour or until vegetables and barley are tender. Remove bay leaves. Serves 10 (1 1/2 cup) servings.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Soups & stews, Ground beef.
