  • water - 6 c
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • catsup - 1/4 c
  • 3 c - 28 oz
  • can tomato sauce - 8 oz
  • ground beef
  • sliced carrots - 2 c
  • coarsely chopped celery
  • barley - 1/3 c
  • bay leaves - 2 item
  • coarsely chopped onions
  • instant bouillon - 3 flavored
  • coarsely chopped green pepper - 1/2 c

How to make hamburger barley vegetable soup:

In 5-quart Dutch oven, brown ground beef; drain. Stir in ingredients remaining. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour or until vegetables and barley are tender. Remove bay leaves. Serves 10 (1 1/2 cup) servings.
