Ham and cheese calzones
Ingredients/Components
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 2 c
- Ricotta cheese - 1 c
- sliced pepperoni - 4 6
- shredded Parmesan cheese optional - 1 item
- each refrigerated pizza crust - 2 tubes
- diced, fully cooked ham - 2 c
- meatless spaghetti sauce, warmed - 1 item
- dried basil optional - 1 item
How to make ham and cheese calzones:
Unroll 1 pizza crust, stretching gently to make a 14 x 11-inch rectangle. Spread half of the Ricotta on one half of the dough lengthwise to within 1 inch of the edges. Sprinkle with half of the pepperoni, ham and Mozzarella. Fold unfilled side of dough over filled half and press edges together firmly to seal. Transfer to greased baking sheet. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with Parmesan and basil. Slice into servings. Serve with sauce.
