  • flour - 4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • water - 1 c
  • onions, chopped - 1 item
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • Filling: mashed potatoes
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 item
  • salt and pepper - 1 item

How to make pierogies:

Filling: mashed potatoes shredded Cheddar cheese salt and pepper Mix flour and salt in a large bowl. Add eggs and enough water to make medium soft dough. Knead on floured board. Roll thin. Cut into 2-inch squares. Place 1 teaspoon of filling and press edges together to seal. Drop into boiling water (salted) and boil until they come to the top. Boil about 7 minutes longer. Saute onions in butter. Pour over pierogies before serving.
