Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- molasses - 3/4 c
- cooking oil - 3/4 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- ground ginger - 2 tsp
How to make gingerbread:
Add beaten eggs to brown sugar, molasses and oil. Combine dry ingredients and sift. Add to egg mixture. Stir in boiling water. Bake in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 250° for 25 minutes or until cake is springy to the touch. Yields 16 servings.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
