Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 c
- salt - 2 c
- water - 1 gal
- vinegar
- celery seed - 1 Tbsp
- stick cinnamon - 1 item
- whole cloves - 1 tsp
- thin sliced cucumbers - 1 gal
How to make ginger pickles:
Bring to a boil and pour over pickles; let stand 3 days. Drain solution. Add 1 cup sugar; reheat and pour onto pickles. Let stand 3 days. Repeat until 3 cups sugar have been added. Pack pickles into jars. Heat vinegar solution. Pour over pickles and seal. (Will also keep without sealing.)Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Appetizers, Salads.
