- onion, chopped - 1 item
- apple cider vinegar - 5 7
- slices bacon, cut in small pieces - 6 item
- large head red cabbage, sliced - 1 item
- unpeeled apples, cut into cubes - 3 item
How to make german red cabbage:
Brown bacon and chopped onion. Add cabbage, apples, salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar and caraway seeds. Cook until cabbage is soft, about 2 hours, on medium-low heat.
