Ingredients/Components
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- sugar
- plain flour - 2 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- fruit cocktail - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- Mix together brown sugar and chopped nuts and sprinkle over batter
- stick oleo - 1 item
- small can Pet milk - 1 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Mix together and pour into greased 9 x l3 pan. Mix together brown sugar and chopped nuts and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Glaze:1 c. water1 stick oleo1 small can Pet milk1 tsp. vanilla Mix together and bring to boil. Boil 3-4 minutes until slightly thick. Add 1 tsp. vanilla. Pour over cake while warm. (This glaze is delicious, you can use it on Bundt cakes, pound cakes, in cobblers, etc.; it's just an all-around good glaze.)Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
