Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
How to make ice cream sandwiches:
Fix ice cream so it can be cut into 16 slices. Heat oven to 375°. Beat egg, shortening, butter and vanilla. Add 1/2 of dry cake mix. Beat until smooth. Stir in remaining dry cake mix. Divide this dough into 4 equal parts. Roll each part approximately 6 x 10-inches. (Flour table and dough to roll.) Cut approximately 3 x 2 1/2-inches. Place these on ungreased cookie sheet. Prick with fork. Bake 6 to 8 minutes. Let cool and form into sandwiches. Yields 16 sandwiches.
