Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- Crisco - 6 Tbsp
- paprika - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- fresh bread crumbs - 1 c
- large eggs, beaten - 2 item
- frying chicken, cut up - 1 item
How to make fried chicken:
Mix flour, bread crumbs and seasoning in one bowl. Place beaten eggs into another bowl. Dip chicken pieces first in egg and then in flour mixture. Let stand for about 1 hour. Fry chicken pieces in a mixture of butter and Crisco until golden in color. Place chicken pieces in a buttered pan, covered with foil, and bake in 325° oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
