  • sugar - 1 c
  • cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
  • water - 1 c
  • whipped cream - 1 item
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • strawberries - 2 pt
  • 9-inch baked pastry shell - 1 item
  • large strawberries for garnish - 1 item

How to make fresh strawberry pie:

Place half of strawberries in saucepan with cornstarch, sugar, water and lemon juice. Cook, stirring often, until berries are soft and mixture is thickened. Cool. Stir in remaining berries. Pour into pastry shell. Chill until firm. Serve with whipped cream and garnish with whole strawberries.
