Fresh blueberry sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- fresh blueberries - 2 c
How to make fresh blueberry sauce:
Hull berries and gently rinse; pat dry. Puree one cup of the blueberries in your blender. In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in water to make smooth mixture, then stir in the pureed berries and the remaining cup of whole berries. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice. Great on French toast, pancakes, waffles or cheese blintzes! Serves 4.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Sweet sauces, Sauces.
