French toast
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 2
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- nutmeg - 1 item
- baking powder - 1 2
- or 4 eggs - 3 item
How to make french toast:
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl, slowly stir in milk and add eggs one at a time to mix. Should be the consistency of a pancake batter. May add a little more milk if desired. After batter is ready, sprinkle nutmeg lightly over batter. Dip dry bread slices in batter and cook in a lightly greased electric skillet or frying pan over a slow heat. Allow to brown on both sides.This breading can also be used for deep frying vegetables, etc.
