- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- 1 stick butter - 1/2 c
- mashed ripe bananas - 1 c
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition
How to make banana cake:
Cream together sugar, butter and nutmeg until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in bananas and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt; beat into creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Stir in nuts. Bake in a 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
