  • shortening - 1/3 c
  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • flour
  • baking powder
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • butter, melted - 6 Tbsp
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp

How to make french breakfast puffs:

Mix shortening, egg, flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and milk together. Fill muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake in 350° oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Then roll in melted butter. Mix sugar and cinnamon together and roll puffs in them.
