Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- basil - 1/2 tsp
- tomato juice - 1 c
- quick tapioca - 1/3 c
- stalks celery, cut diagonally - 3 item
- beef, cut in cubes - 2 lb
- medium onions, cut in eighths - 2 item
- medium carrots, cut in large chunks - 4 item
- medium potatoes, cut in slices - 2 item
How to make french oven stew:
Combine all ingredients, except potatoes, in 2 1/2-quart casserole. Cover and cook at 325° for 2 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally. Add potatoes and cook 1 more hour. Serve with French bread.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Stew.
