French onion soup
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 16 oz
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- water - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 3
- Parmesan cheese, grated - 1 item
- large onions, thinly sliced - 3 item
- cans beef broth - 2 3/4
- Italian croutons or 4 slices French bread, toasted and buttered
How to make french onion soup:
In saucepan, cook onions in butter until onions are tender. Add broth, water and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer, covered, 25 minutes. Place croutons or French bread in ovenproof bowls. Spoon onion soup over croutons or FrenRecipe categories: Soups & stews, Meat, French.
