  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
  • butter 1 stick - 1/2 c
  • egg yolk, slightly beaten - 1 item
  • light cream or sour cream - 2/3 c

How to make fettuccine alfredo:

Cook pasta according to package. Drain. Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in cream, cheese and egg yolk. Pour sauce over pasta; toss to coat well.
