English pea casserole
Ingredients/Components
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- red pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated Velveeta cheese - 1 c
- Worcestershire sauce to taste - 1 item
- buttered cracker crumbs - 1 item
- can tiny English peas - 1 item
- medium-size onion - 1 item
- juice from peas - 3 Tbsp
How to make english pea casserole:
Mince and stew onion in mushroom soup and juice from peas. Cook together about 10 minutes. Season with red pepper and Worcestershire sauce; add peas. Put into baking dish in 2 layers, putting cheese between layers. Top with buttered cracker crumbs. Bake about 30 minutes in moderate oven.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Casseroles.
