Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- warm water - 1/4 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
- dill seed - 1 2
- unbeaten egg - 1 item
- minced onion optional - 1 Tbsp
- 2 1/4 c
- warm, creamed cottage cheese - 1 c
How to make dilly casserole bread:
Soften yeast in water; combine in mixing bowl the cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt, soda, egg and softened yeast. Add flour to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition. Cover and let rise in warm place until light and doubled in size. Stir dough down. Turn into well-greased 8-inch round 2-quart casserole. Let rise in warm place until light. Bake in a 350° oven for 40 or 50 minutes.
