Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking soda
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
How to make crumb cake:
Add baking soda to buttermilk and let foam while mixing other ingredients. Mix together flour, brown sugar and shortening until crumbly. Set aside 1 cup for the topping. To the remaining flour mixture, add the cinnamon, egg and buttermilk. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle topping over the batter.
