- flour - 2 to
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- warm water - 1/4 c
- instant minced onion - 1 Tbsp
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
- dill seed - 2 tsp
- creamed cottage cheese - 1 c
- unbeaten egg - 1 item
How to make dilly casserole bread:
Soften yeast in warm water. Heat cottage cheese to lukewarm. Combine in mixing bowl cottage cheese, sugar, onion, egg and softened yeast. Add flour to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition. Cover and let rise in a warm place (85° to 90°) until light and double in size (50 or 60 minutes). Stir dough down. Turn into a well greased 8-inch round 1 1/2 or 2-quart casserole. Let rise in a warm place until light, 30 or 40 minutes. Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350° until golden brown. Brush with butter.
