  • flour - 2 to
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • warm water - 1/4 c
  • yeast - 1 pkg
  • sea salt - 1 item
  • instant minced onion - 1 Tbsp
  • dill seed - 2 3
  • unbeaten egg - 1 item
  • creamed small curd cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm - 1 c

How to make casserole bread:

Soften yeast in water. Combine in bowl, next 8 ingredients. Add yeast mix. Start adding flour (at first with mixer) until all flour is added. Cover; let rise in warm place until light and doubled (50 to 60 minutes). Stir down dough. Put into well-buttered 8-inch round (1 1/2 to 2 quart) casserole dish. Let rise in warm place for 30 to 40 minutes. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes, until golden brown. While still warm, brush with soft butter and sprinkle with sea salt.
